Labour Market Professional
“Professional on the Labour Market” (PLM) is a project addressed to
employees of state and private labour market institutions in Poland:
employment centres, employment agencies, training institutions, social
dialogue institutions, foundations, and associations.
3 144 participants took part in 44 thousand trainings organized within the project between January 2007 and May 2008.
The main aim of the project was to raise the qualifications of
employees through taking part in remote electronic courses. Almost 50
free trainings and simulations in a modern e-learning form were
available within PLM. The participants were given an opportunity to
develop their skills in project management, customer service and
interpersonal relations.
“Professional on the Labour Market” was organized by the Incenti
Business Division of the Asseco Business Solutions. The Trainings were
free and co-funded by the European Social Fund.

The project “Professional on the Labour Market” was co-funded by the
ESF and was a part of the ESF Operational Programme for 2004-2006 –
Human Resources Development.
Participants of the project
The majority of participants – 61% - were employees of private labour market institutions (employment agencies, training institutions, etc.). State labour agencies’ employees constituted 33%, and the remaining 6% were employees of other labour market institutions (social dialogue institutions, foundations, and associations).
Participation and trainings
Registration on www.profesjonalistarp.pl was the first step to take part in the “Professional on the Labour Market” project. Then, the participants had to register on an e-learning platform and choose 2 training paths. Every training concluded with a knowledge verification test. The completion of the entire training path was estimated at about 31 hours of work with a computer, which equals 65 hours of traditional training. The participants had 6 months to complete their trainings and if they succeeded, they were granted a certificate from Asseco SB – the project executor.
The participants could choose among four subject blocks: MS Office suite, project management with regards to EU co-funded projects, interpersonal skills at the workplace (management, leadership, personal effectiveness) or effective contact with the employment seeker (employment profile analysis and labour institution customer service). Within these blocks, the participants could choose two training paths which included particular trainings and simulations.
The final stage of PLM was a questionnaire which investigated the interest of the participants in other EU e-learning projects in 2007-2013. On a five-degree scale (1 – “no”, 5 – “very much”), 94% of the respondents were enthusiastic about future e-learning projects and only 6% preferred other learning methods.
