The Polish National Accounting Competition
Asseco Business Solutions is the main sponsor of the Polish National
Accounting Competition for students of secondary schools and vocational
colleges for economic technicians and accounting technicians.
The main aim of the competition is to stimulate and develop among young
people interest in modern accounting and popularise the professions
related to that field. The subject of the competition covers such
topics as: basic financial accounting principles for business units,
register of business activity, financial reporting and elements of
financial analysis.
The competition has been organised since 2001 by accounting teachers
from the T. Rejtan School Complex no. 2 (Zespół Szkół nr 2 im.
T.Rejtana) in Rzeszów, with the management’s approval. Due to growing
interest, the event expanded to be nationwide in 2006. Presently,
students from schools and colleges from all provinces participate in
the competition.
