The Competition history
The first Accounting Competition was organized in 2001 at the initiative of teachers of the Tadeusz Rejtan Integrated Schools No. 2 in Rzeszów. At the beginning the project covered Pokarpackie Province but growing popularity of the Competition in schools from other regions in 2006 the Competition became nationwide.
49 schools from 13 provinces came forward to the first nationwide edition of the Accounting Competition (2006/2007). The students contended also in the 2 stages of the Competition, at which 5 Laureates were selected.
6508 students representing 237 schools from 16 provinces participated in the second edition (2007/2008). The Competition was divided into three stages which selected 5 Laureates.
Another 3rd edition of the Polish National Accounting Competition (2008/2009 - VII edition of the Competition in general) attracted more than 8 000 students from 267 schools representing all the provinces. The structure of the project and the division into three stages has been continued.
First editions of the Competition were supported by WA-PRO company, and since 2007 by Asseco Business Solutions.
