Asseco Business Solutions has just brought to a close the production start-up phase for Asseco HR that will assist in personnel management in McDonald's Poland. The Client has come into possession of a next generation tool handling the key processes in payroll and human resources.

"Our HQ and the chain of self-managed restaurants employ well over 8 thousand people. In order to make the management of such a large group of employees more efficient, an upgrade of the existing HRM system has become a priority. Once the desired changes are in place, we can manage our personnel as capably as never before - says Hanna Babraj, Manager in the Accounting and Payroll Department, McDonald's Poland.

The new version of Asseco HR is fitted with a scheduling module that manages restaurant personnel's timetables; it uses data input by the personnel (declared availability) and is able to control compliance of scheduled timetables with the valid provisions of labour law. The system also supports automatic imports of the actual number of hours on duty, registered within the restaurant's RCP system (timesheet management). The new version has an expanded capability of the "closing-the-month" mechanism. Data used for remuneration calculations is screened for correctness even before the calculation, and the screening effects are saved to the database.

The new software version is run on a mighty database platform. Now all users can work on the same database simultaneously. This has eliminated troublesome data replications between restaurant databases and the HQ, and dramatically simplified any application-related administration. In addition, a professional change management system has been implemented, which is expected to rationalize the update process and help respond to specific company's needs in the future.

McDonald's Poland has been working on the system provided by Asseco Business Solutions (formerly Softlab Sp. z o.o.) since 1995. The system assists the management of human resources in, for example, recruitment and settlements with employees, scheduling, working time planning and control, holidays and sick leaves, pay lists and remuneration.

Asseco HR is a technologically advanced tool providing a comprehensive support for all areas of the employer-employee relationship. The application handles effective personnel management, payroll calculation as well as generating statements, lists and HR and salary reports. The system is in line with applicable laws, yet has a wide range of configuration tools and parameters that permit customization to meet any client's needs.
