Asseco Business Solutions to help manage Canpol Babies products

Asseco Business Solutions has implemented the latest version of its ERP system for corporate management at Canpol Babies, a domestic leader of baby accessories. The implementation was intended to optimize and broaden the functionality of the existing software. The project was co-financed by an EU programme.

The deployment of the latest version of Asseco Softlab ERP significantly improved the performance of the software, employed by Canpol back in 2004. Up to the last software expansion, the company had been running such modules as finance and accounting, sales and fixed assets. The new development brought new functionality that covered other important areas of the company's activity.

With the launch of a B2B module, Canpol's personnel received access to the WEB platform that offers simple custom solutions enabling an efficient use of the Internet channel in partnering with customers. The Production module boosted planning, management and production-related accounts. Simple picking was replaced by inclusive handling of production processes, coupled with the option of managing such resources as machinery, nests, production crews, time, etc. In addition, the system takes care of labour costs and extra expenses, supports different variants of the same product (also in preferred languages), or products which differ in smaller details, depending on the requirements of different customers.

The new solution from Asseco BS also enabled a more effective after-sales customer service, as well as overhaul and maintenance management. It improved the analysis of purchasing and expanded it by the handling of product variants; it create a mechanism automatically generating tentative orders to suppliers.

Besides, Canpol's warehouse gained 50 radio terminals for full automation of product storage and logistics as part of warehouse management.
