Mobile Vanselling system is an instrument supporting the field sales personnel (sales representatives - van sellers). It consists of a mobile application installed on hand-held devices such as Pocket PC used by van sellers, and a central application fulfilling managerial and supervisory functions.
Mobile Vanselling is intended for clients of any businesses involved in distribution and direct selling outside a fixed retail location. The system may operate both at distributors' and manufacturers' having their own distribution. It can be used wherever it is necessary to embark on direct selling in the field. Selling may include both commodity and services. The application is able to issue a sales document directly at the product delivery.
Mobile application
The solution offers full support for mobile sales in terms of conducting and recording the sale. The application supports the issue of any sort of sales documents such as invoices, delivery notes and receipts. Besides handling sales, Mobile Vanselling may run full inventory record of the van seller's stock, and cash record, i.e. cash collected and paid by the sales representative. The system is also capable of printing all issued documents on the invoice printer or on a fiscal printer if the Bluetooth connection is available.
Next to sales operations proper, Mobile Vanselling helps sales representatives manage customer credits and debts collection. Besides, it also allows the recording of other on-visit activities: issue of promotional materials, registration of returned or defective commercial goods or exchange of goods. The employment of Mobile Vanselling ensures full control of POS materials through the recording of their issue and return and through stocktaking at customers'. When on visit, a van seller may record new orders and complete those accepted earlier.
A noteworthy function of the application is gathering market information through surveys. A survey can be freely defined by the sales representatives' superior from the central application. When on visit, a sales representative completes a survey and the information gathered is reported to the central application as a summary or detailed communication.
The system supports the work of van sellers by furnishing additional features enabling route planning, recording of vehicle-related events (checks, breakdowns, etc.) and extra expenses. A noteworthy development is the communications module that is capable of messaging the sales representatives working in a dispersed environment.
Central application
The central application is designed to manage files and the work of field personnel (van sellers). The superior is entitled to define promotional campaigns and surveys, and create and send text messages to employees. The application may also function as a control tool, i.e. it enables the monitoring of van seller's activity, provides information on their working day, on individual visits or issued documents.
The central system component gathers reports that enable the analysis of the field personnel's performance (in terms of efficiency, sales, inventory and cash).
